Alicia Bermudez, 20, comes from a suburb outside of Buffalo, New York and is entering her junior year at Stony Brook University as a journalism major. She’s on the broadcast track and concentrating in the area of diversity in American society. She hopes to pursue a career as either a network news anchor or a media lawyer. She’s a writer and the assistant social media manager at The Stony Brook Press. She enjoys investigating and the hard side of the news but also likes to write feature pieces. She’s glad she had the opportunity to go to India and is excited for what the next two years of her undergraduate career will bring.
