Havana, Cuba – Juan Jesus Gesen Musa works as the director at Escuela de Taller in Havana, Cuba. The school trains students in construction and when they graduate, they work for the historical center to restore the buildings of Old Havana. The school gets between 800 and 900 applicants each year, and then the selection committee narrows that number down 200. The students receive full tuition including food, tools and a small salary.
